The article considers the receptions of adaptation of the objects of industrial heritage for the theatre function. The factors of development of the territory or, in particular, objects, which made it possible to choose the optimal direction of conversion are identified in the work. Often industrial architecture makes it possible to place spectacular spaces in it: as a rule, we are talking about small halls or large theatre spaces, that exist separately or as part of multifunctional complexes. This thesis is illustrated and confirmed in the article by a number of examples of realized objects.
