The article is devoted to the problems and risks arising in the supply chains of fuel and energy complex products. The internal and external risks that arise in this process are studied: financial, operational, environmental, political, and technological. Examples of failures in supply chains in the fuel and energy sector (historical cases) are also considered. In particular, attention is drawn to the most typical cases of supply chain disruptions caused by the recent COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to the global restructuring of energy supplies associated with the aggravation of political instability between Russia and European countries, which led to sanctions pressure. The paper also classifies and examines the main types of risks that arise during the formation and operation of LNG supply chains. The main ways of their minimization or elimination are highlighted, which show the greatest effectiveness in world practice.
