The purpose of the study was to study the savings and investment behavior of students at a financial university. In this work, based on the results of the author’s survey conducted in the fall of 2023, in which 173 students from all areas of study took part in the Omsk branch of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, the attitude of young people to savings and investment activities is studied. The theoretical basis of the study included such methods as analysis, comparison, specification, generalization, and modeling. The main applied method is an online survey (Internet survey, web survey) - a quantitative method of collecting sociological information, which is carried out using Internet technology, the most modern way of obtaining and processing data. In addition to the online survey, the following research methods were used: analysis of primary information, analysis of scientific literature of researchers involved in this topic.
