The article deals with the issues of the legal regime of protection in administrative proceedings in the Russian Federation, the specifics of the legal status of a lawyer in cases of administrative dispute resolution by courts. It is emphasized that lawyers' performance of the defense function in cases of administrative offenses ensures a balance between the interests of the state and human rights.
