The methodology of parameter optimizing for the transmission working gear ratios of the domestic skidding tractor is considered in the article. The maximum efficiency is taken as the main optimization criterion, and the minimum specific fuel consumption per 1 cubic meter of skidded wood is used as the auxiliary criterion.
