Psychological features of self-regulation of drug-addicted convicts
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article considers the problem of self-regulation of drug-addicted convicts in places of detention. Self-regulation is understood as a complex psychological phenomenon, implying the management of behavioral reactions. The empirical study was conducted in the correctional institution of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in the Udmurt Republic. The questionnaire "Stylistic self-regulation of human behavior" by V. I. Morosanova, E. M. Konoza was used for diagnosis. In order to determine statistically significant differences in the experimental groups, the Mann – Whitney criterion was used. It was diagnosed that the need sphere of drug-addicted convicts develops the flexibility of regulatory mechanisms and orients them to achieve a specific result. In a state of prolonged involuntary remission, the independence of such persons tends to increase. In general, self-regulation in drug-addicted convicts is less developed than in other convicts, it largely depends on situational factors and deformed personality traits.
