ABSTRACT

Introduction: the article attempts to assess the current state of criminal law in the field of combating crimes involving sexual exploitation of persons under the age of 18. Materials and Methods: the study is based on comparative legal, historical, logical, systematic and structural methods. Results: issues and conflicts of criminal legislation in the field of combating crimes involving sexual exploitation of persons under the age of 18 were identified. The directions of improvement of legislative, interpretative and law enforcement activities in the studied area determined, taking into account national and foreign experience. Discussion and Conclusion: theoretical and practical recommendations for improving the criminal law mechanisms for combating crimes involving sexual exploitation of persons under the age of majority are proposed.
