ABSTRACT

The author analyses and identifies the shortcomings of the classical approach to designing medical institutions such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, and private medical centres. The analysis consists of three stages, namely design, exami-nation, development of working documentation. A new approach to designing medical institutions is proposed, in which developing the object concept becomes the key and basic stage. A sequential process of creating a hospital concept is described, namely a clinical concept, a process concept, a business concept, an architectural concept.
