ABSTRACT

The article touches upon the experience of the linear-nodal development of the territory of western countries, the components of the structure, the nodes of the reference base and their functions in organization of territorial planning. Substantiated the importance of a regional approach to territorial development. Belgorod oblast is considered as linear-nodal structure, identify potential growth points and nodes of stagnation.
